Exact picnic supplies and set up depend on the type of picnic you choose and location (Choose your own Adventure, Trailside Setup, or Private Homestead), however most picnics include some form of cozy seating, beautifully set table, reusable or compostable tableware and serveware, basket of delicious, packaged snacks, bottled water, Bluetooth speaker, bug spray and sun block, and other thoughtful details to make your experience fun and memorable. Trailside and Private Homestead picnics last approximately 1 hour, with full clean up provided at the end of your booking. For Choose your Own Adventure picnics, you are responsible for cleanup and returning or arranging pick-up of all supplies (minus the food, of course!) after your adventure. *If you are choosing your own picnic location, or having trailside set up, please be aware that you may be sharing space. Follow all posted signs and regulations for that particular site. Not all parks or open spaces have the same rules on public use, pets, noise/music, or availability of restrooms and trash receptacles... etc. When in doubt - pack it in and pack it out!

Each Trailside or Homestead picnic lasts about one hour, and we take care of cleanup after your booking ends. This is just enough time to take in the beauty of nature, relax with some snacks, and step away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. For Choose Your Own Adventure picnics, you can take as much time as you. Please pay attention to weather forecasts, park opening and closing hours, and sunset times to ensure you are recreating responsibly and safely. We ask that all picnic materials be returned within 24 hours of pickup unless you have made arrangements for extended time or for us to pick up the supplies.

Dress for the outdoors with layers in mind, as temperatures can shift throughout the day and into the evening. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is recommended, since the ground may be uneven in places. We provide bottled water, but if you are heading out on a trail or plan to stay active, bringing extra water is a good idea. If you plan to relax for a while, take photos, or enjoy the sunset, you may also want to bring a charged phone or camera. For Choose Your Own Adventure picnics, plan based on your selected location. If you are heading to a park, beach, or trail, consider appropriate footwear, sun protection, and any extra layers you might need. We provide 1 bottled water per person, but recommend bringing additional water depending on your plans and location.

How you find your picnic location will depend on the type of experience you’ve booked, but we make it simple and stress free. For Trailside and Homestead picnics, detailed directions are shared after you book. These locations are preselected and set up in advance. We will include clear guidance on where to park and how to access your picnic spot. If you have accessibility needs or would like to discuss seating or proximity in advance, just let us know and we will do our best to help. For Choose Your Own Adventure picnics, you will select your own location, so there is no set destination to navigate to. We will coordinate a convenient pickup or drop-off location for your picnic materials and provide guidance to help you choose a spot that is safe, accessible, and enjoyable. If you ever have trouble finding your location or have questions along the way, you are always welcome to reach out.

We all know weather can be unpredictable. Our booking process includes a weather and cancellation policy, and we’ll guide you on next steps if conditions aren’t right—whether that means rescheduling or following our policy for alternatives.

Our baskets include pre-packaged snacks from local vendors. If you have dietary needs or restrictions, please let us know at the time of booking so we can discuss possible alternatives.
