At any stage of life or health, planning ahead can make a meaningful difference. Life is unpredictable, and too often families are left making difficult decisions without clear guidance, adding stress, uncertainty, and even tension during an already emotional time. My Last Hurrah doesn’t have to mean a big event or elaborate plans. It can be as simple as naming what you do or don’t want and capturing the details that matter most to you. Much of the work is done virtually through calls and email, so you can be located anywhere. Planning ahead brings peace of mind now and gives your loved ones the gift of clarity, confidence, and the space to focus on what matters most: celebrating you.

Depending on the level of planning and coordination you request, we can provide both printed, written wishes to include in your hard copy files, and digital files saved on an external storage device, like a USB. Everyone will also receive a helpful fridge magnet as a visual notice, ensuring your loved ones know your wishes and can access your plan when the time comes.

You decide! Some people like to plan quietly on their own, while others prefer including family or friends in the conversation. We’ll guide you through who might be helpful to include and how to make it a comfortable process for everyone.

Absolutely. Your plan is flexible and can be updated whenever you like. Life changes, and your celebration can evolve too. Once you create a plan with us, we can set gentle "reminders" to check in at regular intervals (once a year, once every X years...) or you can reach out at any point with updates.

Topics around end-of-life planning are deeply personal and emotional, and we want the process to feel collaborative and positive. To support you, we provide helpful talking prompts and discussion guides that encourage reflection and conversation. Our goal is to help you share your wishes in a thoughtful way, so your loved ones understand your vision and the planning process can feel meaningful and (dare we say it?) potentially even a little joyful.

Pricing depends on the level of planning and support you choose. A basic consultation and documentation package begins at $250. More comprehensive planning, including photo and obituary editing, and invitation or program design, ranges from $650 to $1,200, depending on the services selected. We provide clear pricing details during your initial conversation so you can choose what feels right for you. Please note that planning fees do not include third-party expenses such as venue rental, catering, flowers, music, or printed materials. If your plan involves additional event costs, we can help you outline a realistic budget and provide guidance on setting aside funds in a way that will be easily accessible to your loved ones when the time comes.

My Last Hurrah is focused entirely on creating meaningful celebrations and remembrances. We do not provide legal, estate planning, or funeral/directive services. However, we can help you organize the details of your celebration — like obituaries, photos, programs, and keepsakes — in a way that makes it easy for loved ones to follow your wishes.
